In the ButterRaum, you can celebrate under the trees and still be protected from the wind and weather. With its high ceiling, large windows and three green residents, it almost feels like being in the great outdoors. Cheerful colors, lots of space - the location alone will put your guests in a good mood.
The ButterRaum is located in the former gas cooling plant of Kokerei Hansa in Dortmund and is now a special event location. Originally, this part of the coking plant was used to cool down gases produced during coke production and prepare them for further processing. Following the closure of Kokerei Hansa in 1992 and the subsequent renovation work, this historic space was converted into a café and event venue.
Today, the café boasts a unique atmosphere that combines the industrial charm of the former gas cooling plant with modern design elements. High ceilings, steel beams, large windows and three living trees give the space a special flair that is perfect for private parties, cultural events or corporate events.
Thanks to its special location on the site of Kokerei Hansa, part of the Route of Industrial Heritage, Café ButterRaum is a sought-after location for events that are to take place in an unusual and historic setting. The combination of industrial history and modern usage concept makes this venue a real highlight for all kinds of events, celebrations and parties in Dortmund.
